What are the World Marathon Majors?
The world‘s five premier marathons
The World Marathon Majors (WMM) consist of the world’s five premier marathons: the Virgin London Marathon, the ING New York City Marathon, The Bank of America Chicago Marathon, the real,- BERLIN-MARATHON, and the Boston Marathon.
The WMM allow the world's best marathon runners to earn points if they finish in the top five places at the individual WMM races – and this culminates in with a $1 million prize going to the overall winner.
But the WMM are not all about elite running. The races are open to all runners – so whatever your running ability is, you can still take part in these fantastic events!
