A local animal welfare charity working to prevent cruelty & suffering of animals
As a branch of the RSPCA we run independently and as a separately registered charity, this means we are largely responsible for raising our own funds to help animals in our area. We raise funds through a variety of events we run through the year, our seven shops, and through the generosity of the general public.
We have been operating for over 75 years and cover most of the London Boroughs of Brent, Harrow and Hillingdon as well as Watford, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood, Bushey, Radlett and St. Albans. We currently have two Animal Welfare Officers and an Animal Welfare Administrator, together they respond to the many calls we receive daily regarding animals in need.
In 2015 we took in over 600 animals, whilst the welfare team work on finding loving and responsible homes many of these animals are placed with fosterers or are accommodated at boarding facilities. In some case we arrange for animals in our care to be transferred to regional rehoming centres if this provides the best opportunity for that animal to be rehomed quickly.
So why not pound those streets for us. Forget the miles and embrace the glory, the achievement, the cause and how inspirational you are.
