20,000 capacity for 2010 Bristol Half Marathon

Applications for 2010 Bristol Half Marathon are open. It takes place on Sunday, September 5. The course is renowned for being flat and fast as it follows the River Avon along the scenic gorge.



The Bristol Half Marathon is the southwest’s leading road race and attracts over 16,000 entrants, along with tens of thousands of spectators and with its official charities; it raises hundreds of thousands of pounds. The Bristol half marathon has grown year-on-year and is now at the stage where it can support 20,000 entries. The two-wave entry means elite athletes can be guaranteed a clear field whilst novices can pace themselves around the 13-mile course.
