Beckenham Running Club take Team Honours at Cliffe Woods 10K

The commitee of the Cliffe Woods 10k were in trouble with the organisation of the race after the heart attack of Keith Moon, who had been at the helm of the race for years. Bob Carter took on the role and the race was a huge success. The only cracks to show were those in the ground caused by the extreme hot weather!

Beckenham Running Club turned out in force to take the team honours in both men's and women's competitions. Tom Collins, from the Medway and Maidstone Club took the individual prize finishing 50 seconds clear of 2nd place. The women's race was a far more competitive affair as Sarah Williams of the Metropolitan Police managed to pull 8 seconds clear of Sarah Mooney from Larkfield AC.
