Beyond the Marathon

Next weekend Tony Audenshaw who plays Bob in Emmerdale will embark on a 56 mile run around the Peak District. The Bullock Smithy is a 24 hour challenge. Runners and walkers will set off at midday on Saturday 4th September on a circular route around this area of outstanding natural beauty. They must visit check points along the way and are allowed to choose their own route between these points. Some of it will be run in daylight but all of the runners will do at least some of the route in the dark. It is run mostly off road so head torches are a must. We heard that Tony has studied the route thoroughly but is still looking for any secret paths that could save a few minutes here and there. His target time is an ambitious 12 hours!
