Overview: The Pier to Pier Run is one of the North East's most popular runs, which starts on the beach by South Shields Pier and continues around a superb scenic route, following the cliff top paths past Marsden Rock, Souter Point Lighthouse, passing by Whitburn and onto the beach or promenade and finishing across the beach at Roker Pier.
