Roger Wing Charity 10km

Overview: 10Km & 1 Mile Fun Run. Start Time 10.30am (10km) & 10.05am (Fun Run). The chosen charity for 2010 is Cancer Research UK (Charity Number 1089464). We aim to support charities that are local to the majority of runners, and work within our community. For this reason all money raised will be used locally. The money raised will be divided between Cambridge and Norwich Centres. In conjunction with the 10Km event there will be a fun run for all ages. The fun event will be of one mile, starting 25 minutes before main race. Please encourage friends family & children to take part in this Fun Run (enter on the day), it will be enjoyable for them & it will help raise extra funds. +++++ You will find on our web site an electronic Sponsorship / Donation form +++++ http://www.bungayblackdogrunningclub.co.uk/races/good-friday.asp Using this for any donation will add further to the funds as there is the option to select “Gift Aid” allowing tax refund to be added to the donation. We are encouraging all our runners to raise as much money for our chosen charity as possible. We are setting a target for each runner to raise or donate a further £10 each. It is a very achievable target. If every runner is able to meet this target we will raise a substantial extra amount for our charity. We are asking runners to consider paying a £10 donation in addition to the entry fee; or may be rounding up the entry fee to £10. This would give a huge boost to the charity fund. Of course we would be delighted if you are able to raise more by circulating your sponsorship forms around friends and colleagues. Bungay Running Club will pay all expenses associated with promoting the event. This will allow every penny you contribute, to go to the charity. If you are unable to give extra to the standard entry fee, we understand, and you will still be very welcome at this event.
