British Athletics has appointed London Marathon Events to organise the 2018 British Half Marathon Championships. The Big Half, London's brand-new half marathon, will host the British Half Marathon Championships on Sunday 4 March.

The indoor season will kick off with the British Athletics Indoor Championships as the best of Britain gather in Birmingham on the weekend of 17th - 18th February. They compete for the prestigious honour of being crowned British champion and battle for a place on the British Athletics team ahead of March's IAAF World Indoor Championships 2018, due to be held in the very same arena a matter of weeks later. With this year's event now compulsory to athletes in order to gain selection, it guarantees the highest quality field and plenty of head-to-head rivalries.
