East Suffolk welcomes a new fast flat road race - The Run for A Rose 10k

The inaugural Run for A Rose 10k event is in memory of the dearly loved and missed Angela Rose. All the profits of this event will be split between St Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich and Macmillan Cancer Support. These charities provided fantastic care and support for Angela, her family and countless other people living with progressive and terminal illnesses. This event is held in partnership with East Suffolk Council.

Nick Goolab was the star performer over the international weekend of racing to eclipse the 13:30 British 5k record, previously held jointly by Mo Farah and Rob Denmark. Nick rana sensational 13:27 behindJoshua Cheptegei (UGA) who ran aworld recordof 12:51 and Jimmy Gressier (FRA) who broke the European record with 13:18. Ben Connor and Charlotte Arter were half marathon heroes in Barcelona with sterling performances to rise up the runbritain rankings.

Armagh International Road Races see records tumble in 3k and 5k

It was another fantastic night of racing around the city centre Mall of Armagh organised by Armagh AC recently. As always, there were a vast number of fast times, with 142 men hitting a sub 15 minute chipped time in the 5k, and 52 women hitting sub 10 minutes in the Women's 3k.Senior and U20 course records fell inboth men's and women's events.
