Fiona Matheson ran a UK W60 10k best, Jonny Mellor celebrated his birthday by winning the Ribble Valley 10k and Jess Piasecki was in 31-minute form.

At the Cardiff Met indoor Christmas Classic Jenny Nesbitt followed up her top 10 run at the European Cross country championships with her best track performance by running a Welsh all comers record over 3000m. There were some fast 5 mile road times in London and a world masters record from a Scottish 800m icon from the 1980s too.
