Athletics legacy in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

This time last year it seemed the whole country was on an Olympic High. As we awoke after, what could be described as, the greatest night in British Athletics history we were still to enjoy seeing Christine Ohuruogu take silver in the 400m, Robbie Grabarz take bronze in the high jump and Mo take his second gold medal in the 5000m before moving on to what IPC President Sir Philip Craven described as "the greatest Paralympic Games ever".

Where were you this time last year? Did you witness Super Saturday?

I bet you can remember exactly where you were, this time last year, watching Jess Ennis win the Olympic heptathlon, followed by Greg Rutherford winning the long jump and then, to top it all, Mo Farah claiming gold in the 10,000. Geoff Wightman, MD of runbritain and athletics commentator certainly can. After commentating on the 20k walk that finished in the Mall that day, everything that could get in the way of his journey back the Olympic Stadium did. .
