The Diamond Leaguein Birmingham showcased many of our finest athletes who are preparing for the World Athletics Championships in Doha in September. Elsewhere in the world of endurance running, Sarah McDonald clocked a sensational 1:59 at the Tipton BMC meeting and Jenny Nesbitt also impressed with a 15:30 5kmat the same meeting. Charlie Hulson continued his winning streak at the Podium 5k in Lancashire.

Dominic Shaw was in record breaking form at the Darlington 10km race while Tracy Millmore was the women's winner. At theEngland Athletics 5 mile championshipsin Preston,Josh Grace was the overall winner with Holly Archer taking the women's title. Jamie Webb ran an impressive 800m in the European team championships in Poland, for second place overall. Sarah Inglis will also be proud of her effort in the women's 5000m, with a third-place finish.
