Heckington 10 Race

This event is now in it's 54th year and forms part of the Heckington Show, the largest village show in England. This year the show itself celebrates the 152nd running of the show.The race itself is 10 miles long and is multi terrain in as much as it starts and finishes within the showground on grass with the bulk of the mileage on the road.

  • Venue facilities: The race has an HQ within the showground where the start and finish is located. There is a baggage storage point and there are drinks stations on the course that runners pass on four occasions as well as water at the end of the race. St Johns Ambulance are in attendance and an ambulance follows the runners with a lead vehicle to guide the front runners. There will be a temporary road closure at the start of the race and stewards will enforce no parking cones in Kyme Road For the first year it is anticipated that there will be a road closure out to Star Fen making a large portion of the event traffic free.. Marshalls are positioned throughout the course. Chip timing is used to accurately provide times for the participants.
