Duchy 20

2019 sees the return of the popular Duchy 20, perfect for those training for a spring marathon. The majority of the course remains the same with some enforced changes to the finish due to ongoing building work.

Starting at the Penventon Hotel in Redruth, the race has a downhill start heading out towards Illogan and from there out to the beautiful North Cliffs coast road for a long, fairly flat section towards Hell’s Mouth, then back inland through Coombe and Pool where the shorter second lap begins.

The race then heads back towards Redruth before the finish in front of the Penventon Hotel.

The race will be chip timed.

Water stations every 3 1/2 miles (approx.) Hayle Runners are proud to announce that the Duchy 20 will be plastic free; each runner will be given a reusable cup with their race number and this should be carried for the duration of the race. there will also be the option for runners to leave their own drinks at the start which will then be taken to drinks stations on the course.

There will be medals and goody bags for all finishers.

Whilst there are several car parks located fairly close to the Penventon Hotel, there is limited parking in the car park opposite the hotel entrance, other car parks are a 5-10 minute walk away. Please try and car share wherever possible.

To help make the race a great experience, the Penventon Hotel are offering a generous 20% online room discount to runners who would like to stay and make a weekend of it. For booking details visit https://www.penventon.co.uk enter Duchy20 into the promo code box to receive the discounted price.

When you enter a race we start to incur costs whether through online entries, ordering momentos, providing qualified medical cover around the course to name just a few. For this reason we are unable to offer refunds but will allow swaps to allow you to pass your number to another runner.

Please note, the race course has been measured to 20 miles but has not been certified as such.
