British Athletics has announced that the Indoor British Championships will be streamed live online on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February.

The event takes place at the EIS – Sheffield and will feature the country’s best athletes as they battle it out to be crowned British champion and secure their place on the team for the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland in March.

Every event on both days of the championships will be shown live on the British Athletics YouTube channel, with a dedicated stream also being provided for field events.

Live commentary and in-depth analysis will be provided by John Rawling, Olympic and World heptathlon medallist Kelly Sotherton, European 110m hurdles gold medallist Andy Turner and Beijing 2015 World Championships bronze medallist Martyn Rooney.

Charlie Grice (handicap -5.0), who finished ninth at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing last summer, will once again go up against 2013 world finalist Chris O’Hare (handicap -6.0) as he looks to defend his 1500m title.

Britain’s fastest woman Dina Asher-Smith will also be one to watch as she lines up in the women’s 60m against a strong domestic field including 2014 British indoor champion Asha Philip.

The women’s sprint hurdles will be another hotly contested event as European 100m hurdles champion Tiffany Porter faces European indoor silver and bronze medallists Lucy Hatton and Serita Solomon.

In the field, Olympic bronze medallist Robbie Grabarz headlines the men’s high jump alongside Chris Baker. Isobel Pooley will face world junior champion Morgan Lake in the women’s high jump.

British Athletics Major Events Director Cherry Alexander said: “British Athletics are pleased to be able to show the Indoor British Championships live online. Anybody who wasn’t able to get a ticket or able to make it to Sheffield will still be able to see Britain’s best athletes competing live at this unique event.”
