Brooks Fleet Pre-London Half Marathon 22nd March 2015 - Entries now open

Fleet Half
Fleet & Crookham AC is delighted to announce that on-line entries for the 2015 Brooks Fleet pre-London Half Marathon are now open.
The event will take place on Sunday 22nd March 2015 - this will avoid Mother's Day so you won't be in touble for running that weekend!   If you got into the London Marathon, this could be the perfect warm up event – 4 weeks before London.  If you are not running the London, this can still be the perfect spring target for you.

Runners can enter now via www.fleethalfmarathon.com.  The 2014 race was full before New Year.

There are lots of new things for the race next year and more will follow as we get closer to the event.  From the race website runners can:

·         Link to a short film taken at the 2014 event
·         Visit the on-line shop where you can order short and long sleeve event t-shirts and hoodies
·         Learn all about the important work of the new local charity partner – Fleet & Church Crookham Community First Responders
·         Lots more information will follow on the website across the next few months so keep re-visiting and join the Twitter and Facebook groups

For the more local clubs to Fleet, if any of your members are not planning to run the 2015 race but would still like to be part of the day, they could volunteer as a “Race Makers”. The event needs over 120 marshals on the race route along with lots of other helpers in the park – the race can’t happen with them.  It is very rewarding and can be a way of putting something back into the local community.  Anyone interested should email volunteers@fleethalfmarathon.com.

The organisers look forward to welcoming all runners whether club runners, first timers or charity fund raisers to Fleet in March.  Enter now for a great day - you will be made to feel very welcome.
