Central AC and Aldershot Farnham & District all set for European Clubs competition

Aldershot Farnham and District along with Central AC represent British clubs at the European Champion Clubs Cup Cross Country which is taking place in Oeiras in Portugal on Sunday 6 February.

The ECCC Cross Country sees clubs from across the continent come together to compete for the European clubs crown. The competition will be held for the first time since 2019 following postponements due to Covid-19.

The senior women’s contest kicks off the programme at 10:25 (GMT) and Tokyo Olympian Steph Twell (handicap -1.4) is included in the team of six which also sees Niamh Brown (handicap -0.3), who finished second in the South of England Championships last weekend, also in the squad. Lauren Hall (handicap 0.7), Katie Hughes (handicap 1.4), Louise Small (handicap 0.2) and Emily Wicks (handicap 0.9) complete the team who will be racing over the 6400m course.

He’ll be joined by Luca Fanottoli, Tom Graham-Marr (handicap -4.2), Alastair Hay(handicap -4.8),  and Cameron Milne (handicap -4.0) in a strong field at the championships.

The senior mixed relay closes the programme and Aldershot Farnham and District will put out a solid team to contest with some of Europe’s best.
