Last weekend for April Reward Running

Reward Running

Where are you racing this weekend? Before you set off, make sure your name is down for for the April competition of  Reward Running 2014.This is the last weekend that you can make a difference to your handicap score for this month.

This competition, sponsored by Polar, rewards runners who have improved their handicap score by the largest amount with a Polar Heart Rate Monitor.

Could you knock our current leader off the top of the board? Ronnie Moore (handicap 21.3) has reduced his score by four points since the beginning of April. He started the month with a score of 25.5 and then, taking advantage of the long Easter weekend, ran four good races on consecutive weekends with one on Good Friday and one on Easter Monday. It will be interesting to see if he races again this weekend and reduces his score further. His progress is outlined on the table below:

Race Time Handicap score
Hornsea one third marathon 90:11 24.5
Fleetwood 10k 56:41 23.4
Salford 10k 55:21 22.2
Hollingworth Lake 5k 27:27 21.3

At the end of each month from March until October, the runner who improves their handicap the most in that month will receive a Polar heart rate monitor. April's prize will be the Polar RC3 GPS heart Rate Monitor (RRP £249.50). Make sure you are in it to win it!
