May Reward Running: one day to go
Philip Rose is the new leader of May’s Reward Running competition with just over 24 hours to go!
With a handicap improvement of 6.56 and a succession of credible 5k races in the past month, his current handicap is 10.9.
At the end of the month - so in a little over one day’s time - the runners who are in the top 10 of the leaderboard will win a prize, an adidas miCoach for the winner and Sennheiser headphones for the rest. The top 10 consists of the runners who have improved their handicap the most in that month.
To enter the main competition runners need to have done at least two races in the year before the current month, so the chances are, if you've not acheieved that already you're unlikely to do so now, but if you have - sign up!
In addition, other runners may be eligible for a spot prize and May is a big bonus month with three spot prizes (Sennheiser headphones) up for grabs in addition to the main prizes.
Helen Crossland and Graeme Curwen are second and third respectively as things stand, with handicap improvements of 5.64 and 5.60, while last week’s leader Christopher Jones has dropped down to sixth with a handicap improvement of 5.31.
