parkrun: Crispy's Christmas Compendium 2012/2013
For non-runners (AKA ‘them’), Christmas Day running may be somewhat bizarre, but for runners all over the world (AKA ‘us’), it’s standard procedure and over the years has become part of the routine!
In fact if ever there was a case of ‘them’ and ‘us’, it’s highlighted over the festive period when late nights and lie ins take over from long runs and sharp sessions.
However, if you’re like the parkrun team and looking for a parkrun on Christmas Day, then check out ‘Crispy’s Christmas Compendium’ for the latest news on which events will be holding additional runs over the Christmas and New Year period.
This is a constantly evolving link and the list is still being compiled, so please check back if your event is not yet shown and always check your event’s news page and social media channels before travelling, particularly if the weather’s bad.
All events will be holding their Saturday runs as normal, but the table through the link shows the additionalevents parkrun area aware of, as well as any information about special Santa runs or fancy dressed runs.
If you’re not already signed up for parkrun, who organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world, then check out the link to their website.
parkrun events are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in. They take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and encourage people of every ability to take part.
