Reekie takes further indoor records in New York
In the Millrose Games, New York, Jemma Reekie (handicap -1.3) made it three British records in the space of a week as she revised training partner Laura Muir’s 1500m indoor and mile record with a stunning 4:17.88 effort in the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games.
Jemma Reekie, with a 1500m split of 4:00.52, shaved over a second off Muir’s previous best set in Birmingham last year, before she crossed the line third, to claim yet another British record.
