Run the Bupa Westminster Mile

Do you fancy a quick blast around 1609metres? The Bupa Westminster Mile was launched this week and is open for entries.
The Bupa Westminster Mile is to be organised by The London Marathon and Westminster City Council with the aim of continuing the Olympic and Paralympic legacy of 2012. Four-time London 2012 Paralympic gold medallist, David Weir (pictured) helped launch the event that aims to see 5000 runners and wheelchair racers take part in a series of mile races on 26 May, just over 59 years since Sir Roger Bannister ran the first sub-four-minute-mile on British soil.
The organisers hope to welcome participants aged 9 - 90+ and of all levels of fitness. The races will also incorporate the Road Mile UK Championships for all ages.
