Sunday = Long Slow Distance

You could be forgiven for thinking that it is still summer with temperatures forecast to be in the high teens again today and to top it all, it's Sunday so time for a long run somewhere scenic and inspirational!

What does your normal Sunday morning training session consist of? For many it is a long, slow run, often with company and it will last for an hour or two. This long run is often referred to as long slow distance or LSD and benefits you by building your aerobic base: increasing blood volume and teaching your body to become more economic at burning fuel. It can help you to lose weight and will build up your endurance.
