Women's 10K coming to Glasgow this June

Fife 5k start women

The ever-popular Women’s 10K, which currently takes place in Edinburgh every October, is expanding with a new event taking place in Glasgow this June.

Women’s 10K Glasgow will take place on Sunday 18th June. Starting at the spectacular setting of the Riverside Transport Museum, the route heads East along the River Clyde taking in scenic views and iconic buildings including the Glasgow Science Centre, The Armadillo, The SECC and the SSE Hydro and all within the first 2KM.

It then heads over the Clyde and back, crossing over the 'Squiggly Bridge' and then George V Bridge. Runners will then start heading through the hustle and bustle of Glasgow's city centre heading up Buchanan Street just before hitting half way.

The second half of the route will take runners past the south side of George Square and down towards Glasgow Green, taking in the infamous People's Palace, before heading back towards George Square where cheering crowds await to help runners in one last effort to cross the finish line.

Women’s 10K is the perfect opportunity for women to lace up those trainers and make a difference, either to their own life or someone else’s.

The first 100 entrants with a charity page setup will get £5 off their entry, with entries opening on Sunday 12th February at 9am.
