Time is running out for anyone who wants to take part in the final two races in this year's runbritain Grand Prix. The closing date for entry to the Lloyds Bank Cardiff Half Marathon, that takes place on 4th October, is tomorrow at midnight and the Early Bird price for the Age UK Leeds Abbey Dash, that takes place on 15 November, is today!

Steph Twell (handicap -2.0) battled hot and humid conditions on day six of the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China, to qualify for the 5000m final. The temperature clearly took its toll on a number of athletes, who dropped out during the opening round, but Twell came through to finish seventh in the first heat. The 26 year old crossed the line in 15:34.72 and to secure her place in Sunday's showdown.
