British athletes were showing further fine form as the summer season unfolds ahead of key championships. Eilish McColgan broke the European 10km road running record in Manchester, while others were clocking major championship qualifying times in the states and Ben MacMillan ran the fastest of the 38 Monument mile races in Stirling. The fastest parkruns were in Cardiff and Southampton.

The Night of 10,000m PBs at Highgate in London lived up to its title as the runbritain results and rankings show. Jess Judd and Sam Atkin took the British Championship titles. The addition of the mile events saw a great breakthough performance from Matthew Stonier.

Many top distance runners were at the Sound Running Track Meeting in Caifornia and at the Twilight Meeting in Portland, Oregon. The Scottish 5k road championship saw home favourites taking the honours in respectable times and the fastest parkruns were centrally located on reliable fast courses.
